System Engineer
(Degree/2-3yrs exp/SQL)
 
Job description:
  • Monitor systems availability, server performance and resource capacity
  • Manage and support datacentre data storage
  • Respond to daily service requests and issues
  • Support and troubleshoot problems and issues
  • Maintain and develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Configure, install and support of system and networks on multiple operating system platforms
  • Perform project evaluation and make recommendations for improvements
  • Advise on upgrades, overall system design and new technologies for Windows and Network system
  • Perform data replication, backup and disaster recovery plan when needed
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 2 -3 years of relevant experience in MS SQL administration, Windows server, Active Directory, Symantec Backup solutions and VMware vSphere.
  • Experience in EMC/Dell Storage arrays and Citrix Xenapps is preferred
  • Experience in setup and handle networks, TCP/IP, routing, switching protocols
  • Candidates with RHCE, MCSE or VCP certification is highly preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent and good team player
