Commodity Manager
(Degree/6 -7 yrs exp/SAP/PCBA)
 
Job description:

• Responsible in leading and conducting global supplier negotiation of price, terms and services
• Manage and implement strategies for the assigned commodities
• Monitor closely supply market activities and price trends
• Develop partnerships with key suppliers for strategic pricing, assurance of supply & technical cooperation
• Identify lowest cost suppliers and use as cost beachhead, multiple sourcing for most competitive pricing
• Monitor and drive compliance of contracts and agreements with suppliers
• To develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned commodity.
• Monitor assigned commodity supply market activities and price trends and take necessary action
• Sourcing of suppliers with a cross functional members.
• Proactive in managing supplier capacity to match demand of all manufacturing sites
• Managed supplier performance rating
• Act the commercial interface in cross-functional/international project between suppliers and R&D supporting the project team from first product ideas over the new product introduction at pre-series state until mass production release

 
Requirements:

• Master Degree/Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or its equivalent
• Minimum 6 -7 years of relevant experience in project sourcing, project management and supplier development.
• Must have experience in either Power Supplies/PCBA/Disc Drive commodity experience in a contract manufacturing/electronics environment.
• Strong knowledge in costing
• Knowledge of SAP
• Good leadership and good interpersonal skills
• Must be bilingual to liaise with mandarin speaking clients
