Account Assistant
(Dip/2 Yr Exp/Accounting)
 
Job description:
  • Ensure all suppliers invoices are properly accounted for, authorized and then captured in the accounting system accurately and timely
  • Process and arrange for cycle payments on both ad-hoc and periodic basis
  • Process petty cash claims, staff advances and reimbursements upon verification and approval sought in accordance with company’s policies
  • Work entails a fair amount of administrative content
  • Creation of suppliers and expenses related codes in accounting system
  • Summarize suppliers aging reports for monthly monitoring and planning purposes
  • Assist in year-end closing and the necessary audit schedules to auditors and tax agent
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Accountancy / Business Studies, LCCI or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills and a flair for numbers
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with demonstrated good work ethics
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Self-driven with ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to produce accurate work within tight deadlines

Accounts Officer
(AP/Accounting Qualification/1-2yrs exp)
 
Job description:
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Process Invoices
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
  • Process check requests
  • Audit and process credit card bills
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist in month end closing
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Assist with other projects as needed
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum Accounting Qualification or equivalent
  • At least 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in AP
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Must be detailed and meticulous
